At the Missouri REALTORS® Capitol Conference today,
KCRAR member Mark Solomon received the Good Neighbor Award for his work on the
Veterans Community Project. Solomon started the Veterans Community Project in
2014 with two other combat veterans with the goal of ending veteran
homelessness in Kansas City. To do this, the Veterans Community Project is in
the process of building a “Veterans Village” with 52 tiny houses. So far,
Solomon and the Veterans Community Project have raised hundreds of thousands of
dollars for the cause.
Solomon was presented the Good Neighbor Award in Jefferson City,
Mo. this morning, and a video was shown that further outlines his efforts with
the Project. See the video here.
