New and Returning Commercial Real Estate Classes Coming to KCRAR

April 25, 2024 in Education

KCRAR is not only bringing back a popular two-day CE class for new commercial agents or residential agents looking to expand their practice into the commercial market, but it is also introducing two new CE classes for higher level commercial practitioners.

The Commercial Experience will be held in the KCRAR Leawood classroom and virtually on May 7-8, providing attendees with a solid foundation of technical knowledge, skills and strategies for practicing commercial real estate.

“I have taken many commercial classes, but this was one of the best classes I have taken,” said Steve Kornspan, a previous student of the Commercial Experience course. “Everyone that has ever worked with a real estate investor will gain value from the information. I have presented the material to many real estate investors, and they are impressed that I am able to provide a complete financial picture of a property.”

Offering nine hours of elective CE credit in Kansas and Missouri, The Commercial Experience will introduce attendees to different commercial property types, how they’re evaluated, marketed, financed, taxed, sold or traded – incorporating simplified analysis methods. It will also go over details of real estate tax laws that are often overlooked by investors, lenders and residential real estate agents.

Instructor Marty Rueter will also be in the KCRAR Leawood classroom on May 9 to offer two more commercial classes. The morning session, “The ABC’s and N’s of Commercial Leasing” will explore the intricacies of commercial leasing, whether it’s offices, warehouses, retail stores, eateries or salons.

The afternoon session, “Taxation of Commercial Real Estate,” will cover the complex realm of tax strategies and regulations specific to commercial real estate, including the differences between tax credits, deductions, adjustments, exemptions and exclusions.

Both May 9 classes will offer three hours of elective CE credit in Kansas and Missouri and will be offered both in-person or online.

Register for any or all of these upcoming commercial classes in the KCRAR Education Campus.
