March 7, 2024 in Education

18 KCRAR REALTORS® graduated Wednesday from the University of Missouri Kansas City REALTOR® Leadership Academy, a seven-month program where students studied advanced industry principles, leadership development and business management practices.

These students worked on team-based assignments throughout the term, and on Wednesday presented their capstone projects, which explored topics including the use of artificial intelligence in the real estate industry, affordable housing and more.

This year’s UMKC REALTOR® Leadership Academy graduates are:

  • Liz Black
  • Fran Campbell
  • Brent Clark
  • Todd Eacret-Dorcy
  • Teresa Fox
  • Stacie Green
  • Breanna Holhaus
  • Paola Lopez
  • Cameron Macias
  • Michael Nixon
  • Dena Odom
  • Jessica Patterson
  • Brandi Perkins
  • Annie Premis
  • Bill Regan
  • Anna Wilson
  • Nestor Zuluaga

Among those graduates, Brent Clark was inspired to pay it forward to a future Academy student through The Petals of Joy Memorial Scholarship, which aims to empower individuals who have demonstrated resilience and leadership in the face of adversity, providing them with financial support to further their education and leadership goals. Clark would like to provide this scholarship to a fellow REALTOR® who has overcome similar obstacles to himself.

In 2016, Clark lost his wife Rachel Joy unexpectedly when she was only 39 years old. Since then, Clark and his children have had to overcome many obstacles. When he attended the luncheon to learn about the Leadership Academy, he knew it was a program he needed to help revitalize his career and his soul, and the Academy has done just that.

Applications are currently open for the 2024-2025 UMKC REALTOR® Leadership Academy session at Prospective students who would like to learn more about the program can register to attend an informational luncheon on June 18.
