The Kansas City Business Journal announced its 2021 “NextGen Leaders” earlier this week, naming KCRAR and Heartland MLS CEO Kipp Cooper as one of 25 “rising stars in Kansas City business.” Cooper was named among peers including executives from Made in KC, VMLY&R, Burns & McDonnell and more.

Cooper has been leading KCRAR and Heartland MLS since 2015, when he came to Kansas City from his CEO position at the Huntsville Area Association of REALTORS® in Alabama. Since then, he has worked with the Boards of Directors to lead the company through numerous initiatives, including the launch of the REALTORS® Rock the Block, the UMKC REALTOR® Leadership Academy, and numerous cutting edge technology benefits for members. He has also led KCRAR and HMLS through multiple mergers with other local associations and MLS’s that have increased KCRAR membership from 8,200 to over 12,400 serving 36 counties in Missouri and Kansas.

“I can’t think of a more fitting achievement for such a forward-thinking leader,” KCRAR President Tony Conant said. “We are so fortunate to have such a visionary, committed Renaissance man at the helm of our Association! I have no doubt that Kipp’s leadership is one of the largest contributing factors to our success and our ability to make our service to our members second to none.”
