YPN/KC Announces Band Lineup for REALTOR® Battle of the Bands Fundraiser

April 11, 2024 in KCRAR

The KCRAR Young Professionals Network (YPN/KC) is bringing back REALTOR® Battle of the Bands for a second year of rocking out and raising funds for Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City. Six bands will take the stage at Tin Roof in Westport on June 5, each featuring at least one local REALTOR® or Industry Partner.

This year’s lineup will include:

  • Boxcar Brethren, featuring Industry Partner Sean Ewbank (Community Lending of America)
  • Jammin Jan and the Gratidudes, featuring REALTOR® Rick Coomes (ReeceNichols – The Village)
  • Local Allstars, featuring REALTORS® John Ketchum (RE/MAX Premier Realty) and Jordan Haase (Tala Realty Co)
  • SOULSHINE, featuring Industry Partner Bobby Kerr (Kerr Consulting)
  • StrawBilly, featuring REALTOR® Scott Hinkle (Platinum Realty)
  • The Sk8er Boiz, featuring REALTOR® Christian Hidalgo (KW Diamond Partners)

The audience will vote for their favorite acts via dollars donated to the cause. At the end of the night, the band with the most votes will be declared the winner. Last year’s REALTOR® Battle of the Bands broke YPN/KC fundraising records, raising over $6,000 for Habitat KC toward the annual REALTORS® Rock the Block event.

“Last year’s event was such a huge success that this year we’re doing it even bigger and better,” said Michael McReynolds, YPN Committee Vice Chair. “Let’s just say this… everyone who missed last year’s Battle of the Bands is upset they didn’t come, and they’re stoked to come to this year’s. It’s going to be quite the spectacle!”

Tickets are available in advance for a $20 donation through the KCRAR Member Portal. Those who are not members of KCRAR may purchase tickets at the door. Event T-shirts are also available for pre-order only at registration, the proceeds from which will also go toward Habitat KC.

Doors will open at Tin Roof at 5 p.m. on June 5, and the show will begin at 6 p.m.
