16 members of the KCRAR Pittsburg Chapter gathered last week to give back to the community as a part of United Way’s Day of Action. Two groups of KCRAR volunteers spent the day on projects for a local community childcare center and for the Salvation Army.
“When the United Way needed volunteers to help with community needs, our Pittsburg Chapter REALTORS® answered the call and KCRAR is proud to have you all as members. Your work ethic and community spirit is inspiring,” said Jeff Carson, KCRAR Director of Kansas Advocacy.
According to United Way of Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas, the Day of Action is “the single largest one-day, community-wide volunteer event in Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas.”
KCRAR was a sponsor for this year’s event, which takes place every summer, bringing together hundreds of volunteers from the region to work on projects benefiting local non-profit United Way partners.
