License Renewal Due This Year for Some Members

March 1, 2018 in KCRAR

All Missouri REALTORS® are required to renew their real
estate licenses this year, and half of Kansas REALTORS® are as well. That means
Missouri members, and many Kansas members must complete their continuing
education (CE) requirements in the coming months.

In Missouri, both agents and brokers are required to
complete 12 hours of continuing education every two years. At least three of
the 12 hours must be approved as core credit. Brokers must renew by June 30 of
even numbered years and salespeople must renew by Sept. 30 of even numbered
years.

In Kansas, real estate agents and brokers are required to
renew their licenses every other year; the time at which they are required to
renew is based on last name.

Kansas brokers must complete six hours of mandatory
continuing education (core credit) and six hours of elective continuing
education every two years. Kansas salespeople must complete three hours of
mandatory continuing education (core credit) and nine hours of elective continuing
education every two years.

Members can check their CE statuses at any time on the
Missouri and Kansas Real
Estate Commissions’ websites.

And, members can see more information on license renewal in
Missouri and Kansas online.
