KCRAR Chief Operating Officer, Julie Stewart, Receives RCE Designation from NAR

June 4, 2026 in KCRAR

Julie Stewart, Chief Operating Officer for the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®, was recently honored by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) for earning the REALTOR® association Certified Executive (RCE) designation.

According to NAR, the RCE designation recognizes exceptional efforts made by REALTOR® association executives. Stewart is now one of over 550 executives nationwide who have achieved this designation, including KCRAR staff members Kyla Carella, Kipp Cooper, Perry Crume and Debbie Strange.

Stewart has served as COO for KCRAR since 2022. Prior to that, she served as Association Executive for the Tri-Lakes Board of REALTORS® in Branson, Mo. for over six years. In her role at KCRAR, Stewart oversees many services that touch members including education, communications, membership department, strategic planning and more.

To become a candidate for the RCE Designation, applicants must document their association management and academic experiences. Once they have completed this first step, eligible candidates must successfully complete a multiple-choice exam, which is based on a comprehensive understanding of association operations and management practices. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of areas critical to REALTOR® association management, including association law, governance and issues related to member services.  To retain the designation, RCEs must be recertified every four years.
