Heartland MLS announced this week the adoption of RentSpree, a premier rental application and screening suite, as a benefit to its subscribers launching May 23.
RentSpree integrates directly with Matrix to provide a comprehensive tenant application process and screening report. Agents can enable the application tool directly within their rental listings in Matrix by choosing “Yes” on the RentSpree Online Application field. The adoption of RentSpree is a part of Heartland MLS’s efforts to build a robust rental listing database for agents representing clients in need of a rental.
“Rentals play an important role in healthy real estate markets like Kansas City,” Heartland MLS CEO Kipp Cooper said. “It is extremely important that we are able to assist our agents and brokers with the tools necessary to seize the immediate and longer-term opportunities in our rapidly growing rental segment.”
RentSpree also serves to reduce liability for landlords by minimizing their handling of personal information, which would go directly through RentSpree’s secure application process. This new benefit is an addition to Heartland MLS’s existing system for rental input, which includes expiration date, compensation fields and more for a similar user experience to residential property listing input. Rental listings in Heartland MLS are also syndicated via IDX feeds.
To prepare for launch day, Heartland MLS subscribers can begin setting up their RentSpree account now and attend a RentSpree training webinar on May 23 at 2 p.m. or May 25 at 10 a.m.
