Down Payment Assistance is available to home buyers based on a variety of needs and special circumstances, and KCRAR has simplified the search process, offering a Down Payment Resource (DPR) search form on the Buyers & Sellers section of KCRAR.com.

The addition of the DPR search form came as an initiative of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee years ago, but when KCRAR relaunched its website in 2020, it added the form to KCRAR.com for the first time.

“So many down payment assistance programs exist that buyers might not even know are available to them,” KCRAR DEI Liaison Patti Dauer said. “So the committee not only wanted those buyers to have access to this search tool, but also all of our agents, so they can make sure their clients are well-informed about what’s available.”

The DPR form asks the user for basic information about the property they’re looking to buy, their household and any special circumstances such as their profession or any disabilities they may have. After filling in these fields, users will be able to view the programs available based on their criteria, some of which may cover a dollar amount or a percentage of the purchase price of the home.
