The annual enrollment period is now open for KCRAR’s insurance plans through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City. After negotiations with insurance providers, KCRAR is able to offer its members and their families health coverage at the lowest possible rate.
The current enrollment period will offer an insurance effective date of Jan. 1, 2023. Active KCRAR members as well as their spouses and dependents are eligible for enrollment between now and Dec. 31.
“KCRAR was among the first and remains one of the few REALTOR® associations in the country to provide health insurance options for our independent contractor members through an association group plan,” KCRAR CEO Kipp Cooper said. “Our plan came into existence three years ago when area insurance companies were not insuring individual REALTORS®, so we worked with the Bukaty Group to create an option through BCBS of Kansas City. KCRAR receives no compensation through this partnership, and we pass all group discounts down to you directly as our members. We encourage you to shop all rates and find the best plan that works for you.”
Three different plan options will again be offered, including Preferred Care Blue PPO, BSP Blue Saver PPO and Spira Care EPO. The plans provide a variety of coverage types and price points to meet the needs of members. Vision and dental plans are also available.
The details of each plan, including rates and frequently asked questions can be found at kcrar.com/healthinsurance. Members with additional questions about these programs, plan pricing or the enrollment process can receive personalized assistance by contacting Jeff Walstrom with Bukaty Companies at jwalstrom@bukaty.com or 913-647-3981.
