2019 KCRAR Standard Contracts and Forms Available Dec. 17

December 14, 2018 in KCRAR

The 2019 KCRAR residential forms will be available on
kcrar.com beginning Monday, Dec. 17. The KCRAR Forms Committee, chaired by Jodi
Carpenter, reviewed a number of member suggestions for form changes. The Forms
Committee recommended revisions to 23 forms, although some were very minor. A document
summarizing the form changes made from 2018 to 2019 will be posted on kcrar.com
on Dec. 17.

One noteworthy change was made to the Exclusive Right To Sell form. A new section was added to the
listing agreement where the seller may agree to authorize the broker/listing
agent to disclose to other buyers or buyer’s agents the existence of other
offers and/or the reason for selling. See a brief video that points out some of
the more important changes made to the 2019 forms below.

It is recommended all members discontinue use of the
2018 forms as soon as practical, or by Feb. 15, 2019 at the latest. All
2019 forms will display a 2019 copyright date at the bottom of the last page of
each form.
