Fourteen St. Joseph Chapter members
gathered at Crossing Men’s Transition Center in June for two days of volunteer
work toward the “Bunk Bed Project” in partnership with Habitat for Humanity.
Earlier that month, at the Chapter’s Spring Social, members raised $425 for the
organization as well as donations of pillows and bedding.
The volunteers for the Bunk Bed
Project spent their time prepping and building 18 bunk beds for Crossing Men’s
Transition Center, which is a rehabilitation facility that focuses on men who
are transitioning back to the St. Joseph area with a desire to change their lives
after serving time incarcerated.
