Broker home adoptions are open for the 2019 REALTORS® Rock
the Block volunteer event. KCRAR has once again partnered with Habitat for
Humanity of Kansas City to Rock the Block—this year Sept. 18 in Kansas City,
Kan. This year, ten homes are up for adoption, and each adoption requires 20
volunteers.
Brokers can adopt a home outright or combine efforts with
another firm to complete the home adoption process. Volunteers in attendance will
have the opportunity to give back to the community by helping to revitalize
these homes by painting, landscaping and more. Lunch will be provided for all
registered volunteers.
Brokerages interested in adopting a home for REALTORS® Rock
the Block may do
so here. Once you complete the registration, your house will be on hold and
you will receive an invoice in the amount of $1,500 for payment from Habitat
for Humanity of Kansas City. Then you will receive a registration link to share
with your team members to sign up. Brokerages interested in teaming up with
another firm to adopt a home may contact Emily Bannwarth at emilyb@kcrar.com.
