Song: Good Good Life
It is hard to believe this verse of my song is coming to an end. It has been such an honor and a privilege to serve every single member of the Kansas City Regional Association. Thank you for the opportunity to be your president. A huge heartfelt kudos to the kick booty staff of KCRAR, thank you for everything you do every single day for our members! YOU rock this association! Kipp: thank you for your guidance and inspiration this year, it has been a pleasure working with you.
As we move into a changing real estate market, I challenge you to be S.M.A.R.T.
S: Study the Stats – As the market changes, be a real estate market expert by knowing the statistics for sales in each area you sell.
M: Mentor Someone – I find my best learning opportunities come from teaching others. Pick a topic you would like to be a master at, and plan to teach a class. You will learn differently when you learn to teach rather than learn just to know.
A: Acquire New Skills – Anthony J. D’Angelo is quoted saying “Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.” As technology and market changes occur, we need to be even more addicted to learning and growing.
R: Respect Each Other – This profession is most unique in the sense that, in most cases, we need our competitors for the other half of our paycheck. Be kind and respectful to each other; you never know when you will be working with them again.
T: Trust Your Instincts – Be safe out there. There is no commission out there that is worth compromising our ethics, safety or integrity.
Again, it has truly been a pleasure serving as your president.
