16 members of the KCRAR Pittsburg Chapter gathered in June to give back to the community as a part of United Way’s Day of Action. Volunteers spent the morning working on projects for a local community child care learning center, including yard work, cleaning and painting.
“The community we live in is so important to us and we want to let them know that we appreciate all the many services that the community provides for us,” REALTOR® Shelly Hildebrandt said. “We just feel it is so important to give back and, in some way, make the town we live in better.”
According to United Way of Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas, the Day of Action is “the single largest one-day, community-wide volunteer event in Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas.”
KCRAR was a sponsor for this year’s event, which takes place every summer, bringing together hundreds of volunteers from the region to work on projects benefiting local non-profit United Way partners.
