2013 KCRAR President Brenda Oliver was honored last week at the Missouri REALTORS® (MR) Fall Business Conference with the Richard A. Mendenhall Award. The award recognizes an individual who, through career-long contributions, exemplifies leadership skills, commitment to service, and enthusiastic spirit.
In addition to her service in the KCRAR Board of Directors, Oliver has also served as president of MR in 2019. She is a REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) Golden “R” Investor as well as a member of the RPAC Hall of Fame for her lifetime contributions. In her 40 years as a REALTOR®, she has served on numerous KCRAR Committees, including Forms Review & Revision, Budget & Finance and Awards Committees.
“Brenda is a prime example of what this award represents,” said Kathy Minden, REALTOR® and KCRAR past president. “Throughout her career, Brenda has been a role model and mentor for so many REALTORS® at the local, state and national levels. Brenda has always been and continues to be one of the most respected leaders in our industry.”
This award’s namesake, Richard A. Mendenhall, is a past president of MR and the National Association of REALTORS®, has been a role model for REALTORS® at the local, state and national levels throughout his entire career. Each year, REALTORS® from around the state of Missouri apply for the award, and this year, Oliver joins the ranks of fellow KCRAR past presidents including Jim Gamble and T. David Rogers, who were honored with the Richard A. Mendenhall Award in 2020 and 2007, respectively.
