Instructor, safety expert and KCRAR Industry Partner Tracey Hawkins earned a 2024 Azbee Award of Excellence from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) for her work on, “Drive With NAR.” Credited alongside Hawkins was Cynthia Strohschein and Graham Wood.
“For over 29 years, I have worked internationally to keep agents, brokers, managers, and owners safe, teach them to protect the consumer, and build their businesses with safety,” Hawkins said. “Being selected to host the country’s only real estate safety podcast and have it continuously rated in the top 5% gives me a huge platform of thousands of agents.”
Earning the Gold Regional Award, the episode, “What Should Workplace Safety Look Like in Real Estate?” explores the real estate industry’s effectiveness at highlighting workplace safety issues and discusses how real estate agents and brokers can consistently avoid becoming a victim of crime.
“The Azbee Awards honor the best in B2B media, recognizing outstanding work by business, trade, association and professional publications,” according to the ASBPE website. “One of the most competitive awards programs for B2B media, the Azbees highlight editorial, online, and design excellence within print media, email newsletters, and online publishing.”
Hawkins will be hosting a live recording of Drive with NAR at the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) NXT Conference. The live episode will discuss how to effectively manage emotions and de-escalate tense situations with clients. Hawkins will additionally be moderating a panel at the conference entitled, “Resilience: Environmental, Disasters, Climate, and Security Principles.” This will be Hawkins’ fourth consecutive year as a featured speaker at the NAR fall conference; this year’s event will be held in Boston on Nov. 8-10.
