Two KCRAR members were honored at the Kansas Association of REALTORS® (KAR) Annual Conference in Overland Park last week.
Alex Goering, ReeceNichols, was awarded the KAR REALTOR® of the Year Award. This award honors KAR members who have shown faithfulness to principles of organized real estate, adherence to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, and time and effort expended in furthering principles of good real estate practice among other real estate brokers, press and general public. REALTORS® from across the state of Kansas are nominated for this award each year.
Goering was the 2022 President of Heartland MLS and a is past recipient of the KCRAR Salesperson of the Year Award. In his 10 years as a REALTOR®, Goering has been highly involved at the Association, including service on the KCRAR Forms Committee, KCRAR Global Business Council, KCRAR REALTOR® Party Advisory Group, KAR Board of Directors and more. In 2019, Goering earned a spot on the REALTOR® Magazine’s 30 Under 30 list. He also is a KCRAR instructor and co-host of the KCRAR podcast, Kansas City RealTalk.
Andrew Mall, RE/MAX Premier Realty, was awarded the KAR Salesperson of the Year Award. This award honors KAR members for business conduct, service to clients, history of past production and personal initiative, including listing activities and selling activities in his or her local board. REALTORS® from across the state of Kansas are nominated for this award each year.
Mall is the 2024 President-Elect of KCRAR and a past recipient of the KCRAR REALTOR® of the Year Award. Not only did Mall serve as KAR President in 2022, but he has also been highly involved at KCRAR, serving on multiple committees, including Budget & Finance, Kansas Advocacy, Global Business Council, REALTOR® Party Advisory Group and more. Mall is also a REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) Hall of Fame member.
Both Goering and Mall are RPAC Major Investors at the Golden “R” level as well as members of RPAC President’s Circle.
“I have known both Alex and Andrew for many years, and I am fortunate to count them both as friends,” said KCRAR President Cindy Cunningham. “Both are dedicated professionals and are a credit to our industry. Congratulations to Alex and Andrew on these honors.”
Also at the KAR Annual Conference, speaker Kevin Brown drew attention to the recent flooding and devastation brought on by Hurricane Helene and urged members to contribute to the REALTORS® Relief Foundation. The KAR Board of Directors approved the sale of the current KAR building and was granted authority to enter into a lease agreement not to exceed 5 years or enter into a purchase agreement for another property.
