
A “Tax Strategies for REALTORS®” GRI (Graduate REALTOR® Institute) course is coming to the KCRAR classroom. The course will be hosted by the Kansas Association of REALTORS® (KAR) and taught by Senior CRS and Senior Faculty Instructor for the REALTORS® Land Institute Chris Bird.
The course will take place on Friday, Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and will offer four hours of GRI 109 required credit to Kansas members working toward, or interested in beginning, a GRI designation. This course is open to all KCRAR members, even those who are not seeking GRI credit. Course registration is $85 and includes lunch.
The course will go over the qualified business income deduction, write offs, how to maximize contributions to retirement plans, tax savings from S corporation status and how tax changes have impacted homeowners, and commercial and residential real estate investors.
Chris Bird has been in the financial business for over 30 years. He started his career with a degree in Accounting and was a Senior IRS agent for 16 years. He was an adjunct instructor at the University of Illinois in tax law for 20 years.
