The KCRAR Diversity Committee is hosting a free education
event on “Potential Fair Housing Landmines from Offer to Close” on Nov. 1 in
the KCRAR classroom. The event will run from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and will feature
expert panelists exploring a variety of topics to help agents avoid fair
housing violations.
A mobile barista will be on-site serving complimentary
specialty coffees beginning at 9 a.m. before the session begins and speakers dive
into topics including fair housing violations when working with buyers and
sellers, potential violations in appraisals and lending, and the legal
ramifications of fair housing violations.
Panelists will include buyers’ and sellers’ agents, appraisers,
lending professionals and a real estate attorney to help attendees understand potential
fair housing pitfalls.
