All members of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) are required to complete a Code of Ethics training every three years. The current cycle runs from Jan. 1, 2022 through Dec. 31, 2024. Those members who have not taken a Code of Ethics training on or after Jan. 1, 2022 are required to do so before the Dec. 31, 2024 deadline.
Members can check their Code of Ethics training completion status directly through NAR. If they find they have not yet met their requirement, KCRAR and NAR provide several options for completion, including:
- “Behave Yourself: The Code of Ethics” live CE class offered by KCRAR.
- “Code of Ethics: Our Promise of Professionalism” on-demand online CE class offered by KCRAR.
- “REALTOR® Code of Ethics: Conversion Using the Code” national simulcast offered for CE credit in the KCRAR Leawood classroom.
- Code of Ethics online course for new or existing members offered by NAR.
- Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) endorsement online program from NAR.
Failure to complete training during any cycle will lead to suspension, then termination of membership.
