KCRAR held its annual Shred Day last week, raising $1,741 for this year’s REALTORS® Rock the Block event with Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City. REALTORS® from around the region and their clients drove through the KCRAR office parking lot in Leawood, Kan. to safely dispose of their unneeded files at a small donation per box.
With each box of files being recycled after shredding, Shred Day participants recycled a total of 8,100 pounds of paper in total during the event, saving 69 mature trees from destruction.
This event was made possible thanks to the support of KCRAR’s Annual Sponsors and the volunteer hours from REALTORS® and Industry Partners on the KCRAR Events & Outreach Advisory Group.
KCRAR members will have another opportunity to raise funds for Habitat KC at the upcoming REALTORS® Got Talent show, hosted by the KCRAR Young Professionals Network on June 11.
