Over 130 real estate professionals gathered on June 27 to support the American dream of homeownership at the annual KCRAR American Dream Party & Auction, benefitting the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC). The silent auction, which began on June 23, and the live auction event raised over $65,000 for RPAC.
This year’s “Run for the Roses” theme brought local REALTORS® and Industry Partners to the Lodge at Ironwoods in Kentucky Derby themed attire, from seersucker to fascinators. The event included activities to contribute to the fundraiser, including a Heads or Tails game sponsored by Truity Credit Union, a daily raffle sponsored by Security 1st Title and a wine and whiskey toss. The event’s virtual horse race allowed guests to place pseudo-bets on horses, and Alex Goering, Kelsie Toole and Brandon Bicknell took home the prize ribbons.
The auction itself included donated items and experiences from tech gadgets to sports memorabilia to destination trips, all benefitting RPAC.
RPAC works on the local, state and national levels to help elect candidates who understand and support real estate interests, including Fair Housing and access to homeownership.
“Once again our members stepped up to support the REALTORS® Political Action Committee to support the American dream of homeownership,” said Jeff Carson, KCRAR Director of Kansas Advocacy. “Especially now that homeownership is becoming more out of reach for millions of Americans, supporting RPAC has never been more important.”
