Tags in the MLS can be divided into two categories: basic tags and advanced tags. Basic tags refer to the type of room shown in an image, while advanced tags include various features found in the property image that are part of the listing. Advanced tags can also include image photo captions, which can be sued to enhance the ALT-Text and provide additional context and information about the image.
Like any other piece of information in a listing, the data generated by tagging images is stored as part of the listing.
If you need to add a tag that is not listed, you may need to contact your MLS, as the available tags are part of the RESO (Real Estate Standards Organization) data dictionary. The MLS software matches these returned tags with the RESO tags used in your MLS to ensure consistency and accuracy.
