2024-2026 KCRAR Small Firm Broker Representative Candidates
Why do you wish to serve as a Director of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®?
As a Small Firm Broker representative I would like to stay informed and have input on the organizations programs, services, and performance within our area. Additionally, I would like to ensure both small brokerages and Veterans have representation within organization.
What do you see as the primary purpose of this Association?
Ensure the protection of home ownership rights and advantages, support continuous educational possibilities, enhance the standards of the real estate sector, and offer committed assistance to both our members and the broader real estate community.
What goals and objectives would you like to see pursued by this Association over the next three years?
Protection of Real estate agency (specifically designated buyer agent) designed to protect both the agent and the client. Educational opportunities involving advancing technology encompassing artificial intelligence. Review of large national corporations attempts to monopolize the MLS.
Why do you wish to serve as a Director of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®?
I am concerned about the current issues & challenges that our industry faces. There seems to be continuous attacks on us, whether it is a lawsuit that affects the way we conduct our business for example with our MLS or even legislative regulations that can significantly impact home owners & Realtors. I think my extensive experience serving the state & national associations will enable me to share the knowledge I have gained which could be a real asset to our board as they make important decisions that can affect our entire membership.
What do you see as the primary purpose of this Association?
The primary purpose of our association is absolutely to serve it’s members. We can do that by providing the best tools & services available to assist them with serving their clients & our community at the highest level. We can also offer excellent education & training opportunities to enable them to have successful & prosperous careers. Advocacy is one of the most valuable things that we provide to our membership. When we stay involved & engaged in our communities it is much easier to identify issues which enables us to take action to ensure that home ownership, private property rights, & a good business environment continues to be preserved.
What goals and objectives would you like to see pursued by this Association over the next three years?
I would like to see our association continue to make improvements or expand the services & offerings that will benefit our members. I expect them to be fiscally responsible with our dues dollars and make good decisions that favorably impact our industry, businesses, communities, & lives.
Why do you wish to serve as a Director of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®?
I have been interested in being involved with KCRAR for many years and have served on the Grievance committee for several years. I am wanting to branch into things more challenging and would look forward to serving in a board role. I am hoping this will give me the desire to advance into Missouri and NAR leadership.
What do you see as the primary purpose of this Association?
To help continue to lead Realtors so they can be in an industry they are always proud of.
What goals and objectives would you like to see pursued by this Association over the next three years?
I feel I need to know more about what the current goals are to be able to answer these questions. I would like to see further expansion of the KCRAR.
Why do you wish to serve as a Director of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®?
In 2012, I had a son at the age of 38. I had to readjust my life as having a baby late in life was a little bit of an adjustment.
I will be 50 on September 8th and approaching my 20th year in my career journey. I’d love to go back to full-time involvement as a Director for Kansas City since my son is older and my time is more flexible.
What do you see as the primary purpose of this Association?
To build up the real estate community from leadership to agent. Find what is working that we can highlight and find what is not so we can improve as well as strengthen. We are ONE as REALTORs® and we it’s essential we build each other up.
What goals and objectives would you like to see pursued by this Association over the next three years?
Build relationships and trust within leadership and membership so we can pursue goals for all agents; small firms to large. Be approachable to teachable to all so we can continue to value our members as we do.
Why do you wish to serve as a Director of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®?
I ENJOYED IT BEFORE, AND I WOULD LOVE TO BE ABLE TO HAVE MORE HANDS ON INFO TO SHARE REGULARLY WITH THE CHAPTER.
What do you see as the primary purpose of this Association?
THE PURPOSE OF OUR ASSOCIATION IS TO BE SUCCESSFUL. BUT WE MUST ALWAYS ENSURE WE ACHIEVE THAT SUCCESS WITHOUT WAVERING IN THE CODE OF ETHICS, SERVICE TO CLIENTS, AND SERVICE TO COMMUNITY.
