Why do you wish to serve as a Director of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®?

I see the value of being involved with our association and want to do what ever I can to help! I will be vice chair next year for the YPN committee, on the BOD at KAR and would love to be more involved with our association. Thank you for your consideration!

What do you see as the primary purpose of this Association?

Leadership, networking, what’s best for our association, homeownership and our industry is so most important to me!

What goals and objectives would you like to see pursued by this Association over the next three years?

I would love to see all of our members get more involved! Obviously we have a large association and I feel like we miss reaching all of our members, even though we have a lot of outreach. As Chair of YPN next year I want to focus on getting our members involved, and especially I would like to see our newer agents understand the importance of RPAC. I am very passionate about our industry and it is important to me at this point in my career to be involved with our association. We all have the same goal and I am thrilled to be apart of this! Thank you for your consideration!

Why do you wish to serve as a Director of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®?

This is a pivotal time for our industry, particularly with the MLS and how REALTORS work together. It is critical that our Association Board of Directors have representation from all areas of our membership. I bring 48 years of experience and insight to the issues facing our Association. KCRAR has a rich history of service to the REALTOR community and to the general public. I have served as a Managing Broker, as a individual agent and as a leader of a team. I offer insight and understanding to the unique needs of each of these roles. I have been with independent and Franchise companies, large firms and small boutique firms. I understand most every perspective from hands on day to day operation from each of those perspectives. Our membership represents a rich diversity! As Association leadership makes decisions it’s imperative that each of these perspectives be considered. KCRAR must run on policies that work for EVERY MEMBER. I have the experience and perspective to represent ALL REALTORS. I listen to my fellow REALTOR, to educate members on issues and I to stand as an advocate for EVERY REALTOR PERSPECTIVE.

What do you see as the primary purpose of this Association?

The primary purposes of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS is:
to advocate for private property rights, to be the voice of real estate,
to provide critical support and structure to the regional REALTOR community, and
to protect REALTORS ability to serve their clients and to build successful businesses.

What goals and objectives would you like to see pursued by this Association over the next three years?

Our industry is under attack by opportunistic external parties that fundamentally do not understand what we do, or how we operate. They forget that we operate, in most instances, as fiduciary. Putting the needs of our clients ahead of our own. We must remain vigilant to defend our businesses and to educate the general public about what we do, how we do it and why we do it. We must act decisively and be diligent in placing our clients needs FIRST. We do that with strong educational objectives, appropriate use of advanced technology and a commitment to safeguard the pubic interests.

Why do you wish to serve as a Director of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®?

I have seen the evolution of our industry over my 34 year career in the Kansas City real estate community. I see and believe wholeheartedly in the value the association brings to our members and affiliates. Having served on both the Forms and Professional Development Committees, I see the need to enhance advocating for our REALTOR members and the community at large.

In addition, I have seen firsthand the benefits and opportunities the association affords to our members and want to ensure those stay front and center as our business continues to evolve in the coming years.

I feel that as a Director, I can help support our members to ensure the high standards of REALTORS are maintained.

Real estate has progressed so far in the last 34 years, and I feel that the best way to contribute to future advancement is to be a voice on the KCRAR Board of Directors.

What do you see as the primary purpose of this Association?

What I see as the primary purpose of Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors is to assist members to become the best they can be in their careers. This is accomplished through robust member education, advocacy, meaningful communication, and a focus on inclusion.

What goals and objectives would you like to see pursued by this Association over the next three years?

I would like to see the Association bolster the education to members through video learning and office advocates to bridge the communication gap. Increase member awareness through those avenues and others benefits our REALTOR members, their clients, and the communities we serve.

There is so much valuable information that is housed in the KCRAR website and I would love to help to share that knowledge with more
members.

I would love to see further expansion on the Code of Ethics where agents not only learn them, but live by them.

Why do you wish to serve as a Director of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®?

To further the Mission of the Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors, promote and protect home ownership, and to further the professionalism and opportunities for Realtors.

What do you see as the primary purpose of this Association?

To protect and promote homeownership while advancing the the professionalism of Realtors through the Code of Ethics.

What goals and objectives would you like to see pursued by this Association over the next three years?

To continue to advocate for homeownership, protect the profession through advocacy, and to support the education and professionalism of Realtors.

Why do you wish to serve as a Director of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®?

I enjoyed being involved and giving back to my community! Every opportunity allows me to gain a new perspective and grow within which enables me to be a better servant leader. I believe in coming from contribution, with a positive outlook and I am not afraid of a challenge (opportunity). It would be an honor to serve with other leaders on the board at KCRAR.

What do you see as the primary purpose of this Association?

Contributing in maintaining and improving programs & services to our members, being an advocate for the board, being a positive leader, problem solving for issues as they arise.

What goals and objectives would you like to see pursued by this Association over the next three years?

Good question! I feel KCRAR does a really good job on so many levels so this is hard to say right now. I am excited about the new mls system and the new coop system! I would love to see more member involvement at all levels. My motto is to always be learning, always be growing to be the best we can be. I love being involved and contributing to making our profession more efficient & effective

Why do you wish to serve as a Director of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®?

Want to understand operating constraints and liberties that the organization has. I feel there could be a wider role that KCRAR might be able to play in reshaping the city

What do you see as the primary purpose of this Association?

I feel KCRAR should be recognized as an ethical platform of Real Estate professionals where people too have access and confidence

We can avoid a lot of foreclosures and rent hikes if we have trained professionals who know what they are doing

What goals and objectives would you like to see pursued by this Association over the next three years?

Public outreach by involvement into various activities including affordable housing, safe neighborhoods, best utilization of land, initiatives in financial education. I don’t know the constraints or boundaries so cannot suggest much

Why do you wish to serve as a Director of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®?

I have been blessed with agents in KCRAR, kindness, helping with teaching others. I owned my small brokerage and feel this is something I could help agents in a single person or small group of agents.

What do you see as the primary purpose of this Association?

I feel the primary purpose for this association, KCRAR is to bring a strong group of agents and other professional’s together each willing to share time and knowledge with each other. I think the main purpose of this association is to educate, bring the best technology to each agent but allowing each agent a personal choice.

What goals and objectives would you like to see pursued by this Association over the next three years?

I have been a Broker for 23 years working in the Kansas City and surrounding area. I encourage agents to work real estate as a business with the need to understand that self-promotion is vital to growth in this ever-changing Real Estate market. Training, self-promotion, along with coaching. Every agent needs to commit and grow. I was in the first class of KCRAR/Bloch university. I would encourage every KCRAR agent to think about making the commitment to start their growth.
