
Four KCRAR members were honored at the Kansas Association of REALTORS® (KAR) Annual Conference in Wichita, Kansas this week.
Carol Mangan, George Realtors, was awarded the KAR REALTOR® of the Year Award. This award is KAR’s highest level of recognition, honoring faithfulness to principles of organized real estate, adherence to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, and time and effort expended in furthering principles of good real estate practice among other real estate brokers, press and general public. REALTORS® from across the state of Kansas are nominated for this award each year.
Mangan is the owner and managing broker of George Realtors. She served as the 2007 President of KAR and is an active member of the Southeast Kansas Chapter of KCRAR. She has been a REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) investor for many years, serving as a member of the Kansas RPAC Trustees.
Kathy Minden, Crown Realty, was awarded the KAR Distinguished Service Award. This award honors individuals who have shown exceptional dedication and service over many years or have made outstanding contributions to KAR. REALTORS® from across the state of Kansas are nominated for this award each year.
Minden was the 2014 President of KCRAR and the 2018 President of KAR. She is an emeritus REALTOR® and current Director on the Heartland MLS Board. As an RPAC Major Investor, Minden has reached Hall of Fame status for her lifetime investment. In 2022, she won the KCRAR REALTOR® of the Year award, and she has served on many committees, including as chair of the KCRAR REALTOR® Party Advisory Group and the KCRAR Forms Review & Revision Committee.
Also at the conference, Jeff Hill, RE/MAX State Line, was installed as the 2026 President of KAR. Hill served as the 2017 President of KCRAR is currently a Director on the KCRAR Board. Hill is highly involved in RPAC, serving on the KCRAR Advocacy Committee, REALTOR® Party Advisory Group and Kansas RPAC Trustees. He is also a member of the RPAC Hall of Fame for his lifetime investment.
KCRAR secondary member Crystal Swearingen, Crystal Clear Realty, was sworn in as KAR 2026 First Vice President. Swearingen is an RPAC Major Investor, past Director on the KCRAR Board and 2016 KAR Salesperson of the Year Award winner.
