Local Lobbying and Involvement
KCRAR provides community outreach and education, builds relationships with local elected officials and raises funds through the Kansas City REALTORS® PAC (RPAC) to help elect candidates who will support the real estate industry and protect private property rights in the Kansas City region.
Our team of advocacy professionals and dedicated grassroots volunteers monitors local ordinances and issues across the Kansas City region to help support a growing economy, healthy real estate market and a strong environment for free enterprise and private property rights.
The local legislative issues we monitor and influence include the development and implementation of sign ordinances, speaking out against rental licensing and inspection programs that impose burdens on affordable housing and supporting quality of life initiatives to stimulate the future growth of the Kansas City region.
KCRAR Local Sign Ordinance Resource
Each municipality has its own rules and regulations pertaining to the placement of signs. In order to avoid fines or the loss of your real estate signs, it’s important to be aware of the sign ordinances for each municipality. KCRAR has created an online resource to aid members in staying informed on local sign rules and regulations.
