Code of Ethics Training

Requirement for Code of Ethics Training

Code of Ethics training is mandated by the National Association of REALTORS® so you may continue as a KCRAR member!

Code of Ethics training must be completed by Dec. 31 every three years (the current cycle is Jan. 1, 2019 through Dec. 31, 2021) to maintain your REALTOR® membership.

Ways to Complete the COE Training Requirement

Best Option - Free NAR online ethics class: Click COE Online. (You will need your NRDS number.) For a video tour, click COE Video Tour. While there is no CE credit for this, it’s fast, free and satisfies the COE requirement.

Take the KCRAR online class for CE credit, Code of Ethics: Our Promise of Professionalism. This online CE class is free as a KCRAR member benefit. To register, log in to the KCRAR Member Portal here. You will find "KCRAR Online CE Classes" under Education & Events. KCRAR will notify the Missouri and Kansas Real Estate Commissions when you have completed the COE course.

Take “Behave Yourself Mandatory Code of Ethics” class at KCRAR for CE credit.  To register for one of these classes, Log in to the KCRAR Member Portal here. You will find "Upcoming Classes" under Education & Events.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you take the COE training at any other school besides KCRAR or the NAR online course, you must submit confirmation of completion to KCRAR. To do this, you may e-mail it to or mail a copy of your certificate of completion to KCRAR - Attention: Catharine Sales, 11150 Overbrook Rd., Leawood, KS 66211.
