Learn to recognize and conquer your stress! During this session, participants will: identify three current stressors in your life; explore how you look at these three stressors and how you react to each; and learn tips on how to relieve your stress.
- 1:00: Are You at Risk for a Heart Attack? - Shawnee Mission Medical Center (Heather Jorns)
One-third of people who die of a heart attack didn't know they were at risk. During this session, learn how a seven-minute heart risk assessment may save your life. Attendees will also learn a number of valuable tips from one of Shawnee Mission Medical Center's cardiac clinicians, including risk factors associated with a heart attack and the signs and symptoms related to heart disease.
- 1:30: Sleep Apnea or "Just" Loud Snoring? - Shawnee Mission Medical Center (Janice Carter)
It is estimated that upwards of 20 million adults in the United States have sleep apnea. During this session, learn the symptoms of sleep apnea, the complications of ignoring (or not treating) sleep apnea, and what treatments are available.
Humana will also screen a series of videos throughout the day. "Stay Smart, Stay Healthy" will run continuously in a video booth in the the lobby area.

Shawnee Mission Medical Center will provide free health screenings in the lobby area by Cyber Café. Get instant results on your Total Cholesterol, HDL (High Density Lipoprotein), Glucose/Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure readings.
